ClosedHand is an AI assistant that connects to your services, runs background agents, and can optionally access your local computer. It works across WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack, LINE, and the web. By using ClosedHand, you agree to these terms.
You connect using Google or Microsoft. You are responsible for keeping your account secure. One account per person. You must be at least 16 years old to use ClosedHand.
You can use ClosedHand to manage your personal and professional services through chat, run scheduled workers, create team projects, install skills and MCP connections, and optionally connect your local computer via Bridge. You agree not to:
When you connect third-party services (Google, Microsoft, Slack, Shopify, Meta, GitHub, etc.), ClosedHand acts on your behalf using the permissions you grant. You can disconnect any service at any time from your dashboard. ClosedHand only accesses your data when you ask, unless you have enabled features like Pulse that periodically check your services.
If you install Bridge on your Mac or PC, you grant ClosedHand access to your local files, applications, and terminal within the permission boundaries you set. You are responsible for what you instruct ClosedHand to do on your computer. ClosedHand will ask for confirmation before executing destructive actions (deleting files, running shell commands), but you are ultimately responsible for approving those actions. You can disconnect Bridge or toggle individual permissions at any time.
ClosedHand provides a sandboxed environment for running code and processing data. You are responsible for the code and data you process in the sandbox. The sandbox is isolated and temporary. Do not use the sandbox to attack external systems, mine cryptocurrency, or perform any activity that violates these terms or applicable law.
You can create scheduled workers that run on a recurring basis and team projects that coordinate multiple workers. Workers run using the same tools and permissions as ClosedHand itself. You are responsible for the instructions you give to workers. Worker results and history are visible on your dashboard and can be deleted at any time.
You can extend ClosedHand by installing community skills and MCP server connections. All installations are scanned for security risks before activation. However, we cannot guarantee the safety or quality of third-party skills and MCP servers. You install them at your own risk. We reserve the right to block or remove skills and MCP connections that pose security risks.
ClosedHand accesses your connected service data solely to carry out your requests. Your data is not sold, shared with third parties for commercial purposes, or used to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
ClosedHand uses AI to understand your requests and generate responses. AI can make mistakes. You should review important actions before confirming them. ClosedHand asks for confirmation before taking destructive or irreversible actions (sending emails, deleting files, running commands), but you are ultimately responsible for the actions you approve.
We aim to keep ClosedHand available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take ClosedHand offline for maintenance or updates. We will try to give notice when possible.
ClosedHand offers free and paid tiers. Paid features are billed as described at the time of purchase. You can cancel at any time. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis.
ClosedHand is provided "as is". We do our best to make it reliable and secure, but we cannot guarantee it will always be perfect. In particular, actions taken on your local computer via Bridge, code executed in the sandbox, and actions taken by scheduled workers are your responsibility. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClosedHand and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You can delete all your data at any time from your dashboard Settings. When you delete your data, it is permanently removed. We do not keep backups of deleted data. If your account is inactive for an extended period, we may delete your data automatically after notifying you.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make meaningful changes, we will notify you through ClosedHand directly. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
You can stop using ClosedHand at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. If we terminate your account, we will give you reasonable notice and the opportunity to export your data, unless the termination is for abuse or illegal activity.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
If you have questions about these terms, send a message to ClosedHand using /feedback, or email [email protected].
